See all these new folk getting all excited about a @lisamelton boost, and I’m like, bah!

I was there when she came into being! I was amongst her first boosts!

Take that newbies 😂

(On a more serious note, @lisamelton is now the world turtle on which #Fediverse’s elephants stand :) )

Kind folk of the #Fediverse. I need #advice on disappearing posts

with all the babbling i’ve doing these days, i’m realising two things

sometimes i want to be a bit more vulnerable and open
i realise it could come back to bite me in the ass (or worse)

So please help me, if you could speak to

Why do you make posts disappear? How do you feel about it after?
How did you decide on your timeframe of choice

Would be grateful for anything you people can give me to chew on.

Please Boost!

#Math #Fediverse, I want to self study #DiscreteMathematics using Susanna Epp’s textbook.

How long would a newbie take to learn this material? I’m going to give it an hour a day. And I’m in no hurry. Persistence over Pressure with this one

If I have questions, is there a place folk like me can go ask? other than spewing them out here in the void?

Tech writer friends on the #Fediverse, when do you write about your projects?

I write tiny scripts that help me do stuff.
And I always want to write about them.

But I feel silly, thinking folks already know this.
Or I haven’t done it yet, let me write about it once, I get it working
And once I’m done, sometimes the thing I did is so specific, I don’t know if other folk will write it.
Or the script / program does, what I want it to do, works really well, and fades into the background with my good intentions of writing about it.

@bhavin192, @nickanderson, @hl, @simendsjo, @pjs; Thank you all.

This is the first time, I’ve just put out a call and so many folks have been kind and answered! the #fediverse is amazing!

I think I’ll go checkout the native #Hugo #Org support as @bhavin192 and @hl suggested. Will look at more powerful solutions if I need them
