Dreb Draft

Time to start thinking about rewriting my tiny podcast feed generation tool.
This time in Rust.

I’ll call it Dreb.

This post is to keep all my thoughts and research in one place.

Tools and notes and research.

  • A tag reader. Lofty seems to be a popular choice
  • Research how to write a podcast feed on my own. Will want to add many extensions to it later and most current generators don’t support that.

  • Ok, no. Realised reading the Arundel book, that I need more knowledge. The book just assumes traits. Which I have not read yet. So yea, some gap between what they say is expected and what is actually expected. Yes, I could muddle through, but I’d rather do the Rust book at a steady clip.

  • Done with the Rust book. Now to try doing Arundel (or something similar) tomorrow onwards.
