Get a Hetzner VM up and running using Terraform

  • Is there a devops IDE? Can I use webstorm?
  • Rapid reading/working through, Terraform Up and Running
  • Also looking at Hetzner’s docs
  • Shit! Forgot to look at my calendar! Need to go do tasks and roughly plan the day

  • Terraform Up and Running begins really, really well!
  • installed hcloud on a lark. suspecting it might come in handy

  • Installed Terraform. Used instructions on their site. Installed using their Ubuntu PPA
  • Installed the Hetzner Cloud Terraform Provider
  • made a detailed list of what i want my server to look like.
  • whipped a .tf that’ll create a server on hetzner
  • it worked! i couldn’t login, probably because I didn’t create a user. will try this tomorrow. it’s 8p. logging off.
