Goal None. Just writing to get back into the swing of things 2025-02-18 18:30 Got quite a bit done, on a day I couldn’t do much. Now that personal issues have gotten handle-able but still take a big chunk of the day, I got meself a different timetable Clearing my mind like this, and adapting my day to new life changes is always a relief. Changed my daily org file to reflect the new state of life Working backwards from the big stones, from what I want done + what I have to do, and then trying to fit what I can in. Soundtrack: Suddenly, Toni Braxton Schedule, shutdown complete. Now tomorrow? The best laid plans of mice and men … Let tomorrow take care of itself Feedback on this post? Goal Relax and recover 2025-02-06 9:30 Shower thought. When I write, am I a pantser or an outliner? I’m a pantser, a discoverer, who rapidly outlines as soon as he sees the shape of something and then pantses on the outline 😂 10:07: Using git frequently enough, now to start using Magit methinks. Just done package-install magit. Will slowly ramp up as I write more. Aaaaaand I give up. No forgejo support. Also not as intuitive as I thought it’d. (That’s my problem though, not Magit’s) 11:30: Lazygit is it. Reminds me of Norton Commander. Pretty intuitive UI (down to the small p for pull and big P for Push. Reminds me of all the old DOS TUIs). 2025-02-06 12:30 Client Meeting 2025-02-06 17:00 Went to the doc. Now to rest a bit Feedback on this post? Mail me at feedback at this domain. P.S. Goal Nothing! Still recovering. Still feeling blergh. Yesterday was godaweful 2025-02-01 10:40 Will try playing with Go to get rederb done Oh, but before that I ought to get a couple of tiny Ansible tasks done, so I can leave Ansible behind for now. got music working. now to get books working. done. 2025-02-01 12:45 Now to why I started this darned Ansible exercise in the first place 😂 12:55: Lunch 13:20: Back 13:48: Done! That was quick! 14:13: Forgot my audiobooks nginx config! 14:24: And done. This really feels like a snowball rolling downhill now! This brings an end to my Ansible learning journey. I learnt lots. Ansible Lint was a really good fast feedback tool. I learnt a lot from fixing (or not) the errors it threw it me. I learnt to write idiomatic Ansible thanks to it. And now that I dunnit, I’ll come back when I can spare the time to add playbooks for the other two tiny machines. 2025-02-01 16:30 17:35, thank goodness to all the notes i left behind, I think I’ve come up to speed with where I left things with Rederb 18:36, Ok no. this is not working. will try reading some book, just as I did with ansible and then come back to this. if i can’t do it tomorrow, the project goes on the backburner 20:21: time to give up when you get an error saying ./todo.go:49:1: missing return and you go to line 49 and hit the enter key more tomorrow Feedback on this post?
